Grant Funding Details
The Women’s Fund invests in innovative programs that move Greater Birmingham women and their children beyond poverty.
We only grant funds to 501(c)3 organizations in our five-county area (Jefferson, Shelby, Walker, St. Clair, and Blount) and cannot make grants to individuals.
Complete eligibility requirements are included in all open Requests for Proposals (RFP).
2020 Grant Cycle
For our 2020 grant cycle (funding to be awarded December 2019), The Women’s Fund will consider projects that promote women’s economic security. We will invest in the following:
- Programs that use a two-generation approach to create opportunities for whole families by integrating services for women and their children.
- Initiatives that focus on systems-level change through advocacy for state or local public policy, including regulatory change, to address at least one core-component of a two-generation approach.
Funding will be for one year and grant amounts will range from $20,000 to $50,000.
