The Women’s Fund President & CEO Honored Among 30 Women Shaping the State
The Women’s Fund of Greater Birmingham was recently named a recipient of the City of Birmingham’s Department of Innovation and Economic Development Building Opportunities for Lasting Development (BOLD) grant. The partnership and visionary move by the City of Birmingham moves the region one step closer to realizing economic security for all women.
“We are inspired by this brand new partnership with the City of Birmingham and their commitment to advancing our community through advancing women,“ said Melanie Bridgeforth, President & CEO of The Women’s Fund. “We are even more excited that this investment strengthens our partnership with our Collaboration Institute Birmingham Family Hub Team.”
“Through Collaboration Institute, we have learned a tremendous amount about the benefit of serving the whole family. Our organization has always understood the importance of holistic community development, but this experience has offered us an opportunity to step back and truly create a plan that will help mothers achieve economic stability,” said Paige Jordan, Director of Development at the Eastlake Initiative, a partner in the Collaboration Institute Birmingham Family Hub.
